Gangster's Anthem by Julian Class

Gangster’s Anthem by Julian Class

Hot new music by Julian Class made its debut on the Top 40 Pop Chart this week. “Gangster’s Anthem” opened its run on the chart at Number 32.

This catchy tune packs an upbeat and jazzy melody that should appeal to a large audience. The hook is super catchy. It will for sure ring in listener’s heads the first time they hear it. This release will to move his audience to snap their fingers and sing along.

Julian Class’ musical influences are obvious based on this tune. The artist looks up to the likes of Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. Class is happy as an independent artist, but he is open to sign with a label if and when that opportunity presents itself.

We caught up with Julian Class not too long ago. He was nice enough to answer a few questions for Hits You Love Radio.

What is your music background?
My music background stems from all the sounds I’ve heard growing up, and my love for the entertainment industry. It also stems from growing up with a mom who was trying to pursue a career in music.

Who are your musical influences?
My musical influences are Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis jr, Usher, Aaliyah, Prince, Michael Jackson, just about every crooner and R&B artist around during the 90’s-2000’s.

What are your long-term career goals?
My long term career goals are to expand my audience, create a collection of music videos to serve as a short film for my recently released EP, make a full album, and eventually get to touring a live show.

What type of recording process do you use and who produced your music?
When I’m in the studio recording a song, I usually try to have the lyrics, melody, and message established prior to production. I usually work with a producer and we bounce ideas off of each other. I try to experiment with different sounds until I find a sound I like, and then we get to work from there. I’ve worked with three wonderful producers so far! Two of them are actually in a pop punk band together called ‘The Things We Were’.

Do you ever get the chance to perform live?
Because of the current pandemic, I haven’t really had an opportunity to perform. However, I do plan on performing once I’m more established and have a bigger following. I have experience with performing from doing community theatre around where I lived.

Are you looking to remain independent or would you prefer a major label deal?
I’m looking to go where ever this journey takes me. Right now, I’m independent and I’m enjoying it. However, I don’t know what the future holds. Being signed to a label could be a possibility for me in the future.

If anything, what would you change about the music industry today?
I wouldn’t change the music industry today. Today’s industry is the result of many great accomplishments from producers, singers, songwriters, choreographers, and technical advancements. I also feel that the current industry itself is ever-changing.

Do you have any advice for up-and-coming artists?
If you’re an up and coming artist, my advice would be to choose authenticity. Now more than ever, it’s important for anyone in the entertainment industry to be relatable and transparent. Also, a lot of accomplishments tend to take longer than anticipated to complete. Don’t fret if you accomplish an achievement later than planned. Patience is a part of the journey.

Anything else you want to say on the people?
To the people, times are tough. I’ve seen a lot a friends and family suffer from covid-19. I choose to be an artist because I want to help those who feel powerless. I want to encourage you guys to keep surviving. We will get through this.
